Utter Oddcast #31 is now available.

On this episode of Utter Oddcast we discuss the Tokyo Circus invasion, Malaysia seeking out dirty toilets, an orangutan that prefers tattooed blondes, Bengals fighting their stadium’s pooping pigeons, competitive eating: 21 pounds of grits in 10 minutes, and Illinois school that says “no hugging”, a man charged with stealing 123 parking meters and casket sales tipping off police to murders.

Utter Oddcast’s October Oddness 2007

For those of you who’ve not caught it yet, we’re doing a Halloween/October themed episode series all month on Utter Oddcast titled October Oddness 2007.

To say that we’ve been busy the past two months recording Utter Oddcast episodes might be an understatement. Since mid-August we’ve cranked out about two or three episodes per week, so if you’ve missed any recently you’ve got a bit of catching up to do. But the good news is that we’re keeping most of our “normal” episodes around the 10-12 minute range (before any music is included) instead of the previous 20-45 minute range.

MySpace Added Something Useful

I’m not sure if I’ve blogged about MySpace before (if don’t have anything nice to say…) but today I am going to do so because I finally saw a change that is actually pretty useful/helpful.

They’ve been working on adding filters to view your “friends”, which was a little helpful, but today I spotted a “New Friends” option, which appears to list your most recent additions in order. Some people may not care about that, but when you’re managing multiple accounts and each has hundreds of friends it comes in very handy. Now I don’t have to wonder if someone accepted my friend request, I can simply look to see if they’re on the list and when I spot them I can pop over to their page and drop them a note. Very useful indeed.

Now if they’d add a decent region based option as well as adding RSS feeds for the bulletins I’d be a happy camper (I’m getting used to the “our page design options suck”…but it would be nice if it were improved as well).
