  You have got to be kidding me! First the NFL Network nonsense this year and now this. Using their trademark “Super Bowl” in promotional materials, fine, don’t allow that but I can’t even imagine the number of churches in violation of their “55 inches or smaller” policy regardless of what they call their get together. The NFL needs to get their heads out of their rears and start worrying about what “extracurricular activities” their players are up to.

  Over 70 Catholic and Christian schools are taking next Monday off due to the Super Bowl. In Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) we didn’t even get the day off is there was a bomb threat. And there had to be a ton of snow to even get a “snow day”. (Needless to say, but I will anyway, yes IPS does have school next Monday.)

[Via the AP] — Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Jackson violated his probation in Michigan when Indiana prosecutors charged him with firing a gun outside a strip club, a judge ruled Friday.

Police said Jackson fired a gun in the air at least five times during an Oct. 6 fight outside Club Rio. Jackson originally told police that he fired the gun in self-defense, but Marion County (Ind.) Prosecutor Carl Brizzi said Jackson retrieved his gun from his car and fired it before he was struck and injured by another car.

…and boy am I glad he’s not a member of the Indiana Pacers anymore.
